Although no negative impacts have occurred during the reporting period, KYIP has established a responsible investment strategy to mitigate risks of its investment activities. The responsible investment process comprises an exclusion list to prohibit or restrict investments in some industries, first among them companies that do not respect human rights. Additionally, all new investments undergo an ESG due diligence process that includes among the assessed topics labor rights and human rights. A sustainability action plan is established if improvement actions are found. Furthermore, KYIP monitors the Principal Adverse Impacts (PAI) which include human rights KPIs.

KYIP performs an ESG Due Diligence for all its investments and has developed an action plan to improve human rights related matters management within its Portfolio Company (PC). PC for instance has to include a specific reference to the protection of Human Rights international recognized standards within the Code of Ethics. Overall, KYIP encourages a culture that values meritocracy, openness, fairness and transparency as defined in the approved ESG policy.

KYIP has adopted an internal management and organizational system to prevent corruption and reduce the risk of committing criminal offenses (Modello di organizzazione, gestione e controllo ex. D.Lgs 231/2001 (231 Model), which includes a supervisory body that has the task of continuously supervising the suitability and effectiveness of the Model and its compliance. The supervisory body operates autonomously and independently. It is comprised of one external/internal member.

During the reporting period, KYIP has adopted an internal management system to prevent corruption and reduce the risk of committing criminal offenses (Modello di organizzazione, gestione e controllo ex. D.Lgs 231/2001 (231 Model). Moreover, it performed an ESG Due Diligence activity of all its investments and has developed and implemented an ESG checklist assessing the risk of anti-corruption related to the countries in which the Target company is operating. No risks of anti-corruption has been identified during the reporting period.
