PWO has joined the UNGC to strenghten its commitment towards the ten principles; PWO has intensified internal as well as external communication about human rights principles; human rights principles related trainings have been implemented for all employees incl. Board; a new supply chain due diligence process incl. guidelines and reporting reqiurements has been developed and implemeted as part of enhancing the overall sustainability management within purchase department; human rights principles have been included in on-site supplier audits performed by PWO's Quality department.

PWO's occupational health and safety management system has been further improved, audited and certified acording to ISO 45001. The occupational health and safety management system includes communication and training measures, guidelines and the reporting of relevant KPIs. We have set ambitious targets that we aim to reach by 2030! Scope 1 (direct CO2 emissions of PWO) & Scope 2 (energy emissions): Supply of energy and heat is particularly important to Scope 1 and Scope 2, and causes the highest CO2 emissions there. PWO is committed to reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 46.2% by 2030 compared to the base year 2019. Scope 3 (upstream and downstream supply-chain emissions): Supply chains are a key contributor PWO’s overall CO2 emissions. Just under 90% of Scope 3 emissions stem from purchased goods and services that PWO needs for its production. By 2030, these emissions are to be reduced by 28.0% across the company's supply chain compared with the base year 2019.
