Somos uma empresa privada, de capital aberto desde 2007, não listada em bolsa e que acumula 12 emissões públicas de debêntures, além de uma de notas promissórias. Os 69 anos de história da companhia foram acompanhados pela constante evolução de suas práticas de governança, com o objetivo de criar um conjunto de mecanismos que contribua para a geração de valor de longo prazo, a sustentabilidade e perenidade do negócio. Entre os princípios da nossa governança estão a transparência das informações e dos relacionamentos, a igualdade. Conselho de Administração (CA) é mais alto órgão de administração da empresa. Foi criado para garantir a profissionalização e sustentabilidade do negócio, conduzir o processo decisório, definir e acompanhar as estratégias definidas. Todos os anos, o órgão é submetido à avaliação em três frentes: uma análise do Conselho enquanto colegiado, dos conselheiros (individualmente) e do Presidente do Conselho. É formado por seis conselheiros, dos quais dois independentes, com mandato de dois anos. Para evitar conflitos de interesses, os conselheiros estão impedidos de pertencer ao conselho de administração, comitês de assessoramento, conselho fiscal ou quadro de funcionários de grupos concorrentes, bem como não podem deter interesses na cadeia de valor dos negócios da companhia. Nosso Código de Conduta estabelece que o respeito é condição essencial em quaisquer dimensões, circunstâncias e situações. O documento reforça que aspessoas devem ser respeitadas de forma integral, valorizando a diversidade e não tolerando discriminações, preconceitos e assédios, sobretudo moral e sexual, de qualquer natureza. Todos os associados da companhia têm liberdade para expor e defender suas ideias, que devem ser recebidas com atenção e respeito. Proativamente, promovemos iniciativas para fortalecer e reafirmar nosso compromisso com os diretos humanos, como o programa Algar sem barreiras, que visa fortalecer a diversidade e aumentar a inclusão, gerando a equidade entre as pessoas. A energia elétrica de qualidade é insumo essencial e insubstituível para garantir a estabilidade e segurança das nossas operações. Devido à sua relevância e potencial impacto ambiental, a Algar Telecom estabelece sua diretriz de gestão da energia em duas frentes de atuação: a eficiência energética e a transição da matriz elétrica para fontes renováveis – ambas com vistas à redução do consumo relativo de energia e emissões de CO2. Com a expansão da Algar Telecom, realizamos mais de 250 novas ligações de energia em 2022, o que representaria um aumento de 8,1% no total de consumo de energia elétrica da companhia. A Algar Telecom segue as diretrizes da Política Nacional de Resíduos Sólidos (PNRS), realizando logística reversa de eletrônicos. Os resíduos recicláveis como papel, papelão e plásticos são doados a cooperativas. Também mantemos urnas coletoras instaladas nos nossos prédios, escritórios e lojas, para que o público possa depositar resíduos eletrônicos, como pilhas, baterias e celulares, entre outros. As principais atividades que geram resíduos (fios e cabos) na empresa ocorrem nas instalações e manutenções dos serviços. No processo de entrada que causa impacto garantimos que no momento das contratações dos fornecedores da Algar Telecom seja evidenciada a necessidade de cumprimento das cláusulas ambientais específicas relacionadas ao documento (licenças ambientais e certificado de destinação final) dos resíduos gerados na prestação do serviço. Além disso, fazemos o acondicionamento e armazenamento de forma separada dos resíduos gerados em locais adequados e, por fim, os resíduos são enviados para fornecedores especializados, que destinam corretamente os materiais e emitem o certificado de destinação final. Nosso gerenciamento de resíduos, desde a geração até a tratativa final, é realizado por equipe interna, que faz o acompanhamento de indicadores específicos auxiliares da gestão eficaz dos resíduos. A fase de mais impacto no meio ambiente ocorre quando o fornecedor realiza a instalação ou manutenção dos serviços para a Algar Telecom, devido à geração de resíduos. Por isso, priorizamos contratar fornecedores que possuem os documentos obrigatórios para a execução das atividades. Em 2022, o reuso de equipamentos (cable modems, CATV, DTH, home gateway, modems, roteador, módulos SFP, firewall, comutação, conversores e chave óptica) totalizou 15 toneladas. Os materiais recuperados enviados para aterro somaram 153 toneladas de drop óptico, cartões e sim card, rejeitos de banheiros, materiais orgânicos e outros resíduos não recicláveis. Na categoria “resíduos perigosos – Classe I” foram enviados para reciclagem 45 toneladas de baterias, lâmpadas e eletrônicos como celulares/acessórios fora de uso, pilha e baterias de celulares. Na categoria “não perigosos – Classe II” foram enviados para a reciclagem 231 toneladas de fios, cabos, sucata metálica, sucata plástica, sucata eletrônica, decoders, resíduos de informática e resíduos administrativos. Além disso, reaproveitamos materiais utilizados em nossas operações, como paletes, bobinas, uniformes e bolhas de orelhão, que são doados para instituições e pessoas físicas para reaproveitamento e transformação desses materiais em bonecas, capas de agendas, necessaires, lixeiras, casinhas de cachorro, mesas, poltronas e outros objetos, gerando renda para essas pessoas e comunidade.

Fundada em 1954, a Algar Telecom sempre teve a missão de servir. Como dizia o fundador Alexandrino Garcia: “O que me importava não era bem a telefonia. Era servir a região”. O traço cultural e o propósito “Gente servindo Gente” marcam nossa trajetória e regem nossa atuação. Hoje, a sustentabilidade e a inovação são os principais ativos intangíveis que traduzem nossa identidade e presença no mercado e formam nossa reputação. Há 69 anos, somos pioneiros no desenvolvimento e adoção de tecnologias para desbravar mercados e oferecer serviços e soluções. Um exemplo foi o lançamento da primeira rede 5G na faixa de 2,3 GHz (algartelecom.com.br/5g), em nossa área original de atuação. Atuamos alinhados às melhores práticas ESG para o enfrentamento e a solução dos desafios atuais e futuros, seja na área econômica, ambiental ou social e temos projetos há mais de 12 anos orientados pelas diretrizes da Política Ambiental da Algar Telecom. Somos signatários da Rede Brasil do Pacto Global da ONU e com a aderência a 10 ODS, direta ou indiretamente. Em 2018, implementamos o projeto de Fornecedores Críticos ao Meio Ambiente aplicado às categorias: Coleta e destinação de resíduos perigosos e não perigosos, limpeza e conservação de ambientes, manutenção e limpeza de ar-condicionado e geradores, serviços de infraestrutura manutenção e contratação de serviços de frota. Os fornecedores são avaliados em requisitos legais e índices de engajamento com as principais temáticas ESG. Estabelecemos a diretriz de gestão da energia elétrica em 2 frentes: a eficiência e a transição da matriz para fontes renováveis – ambas com vistas à redução do consumo e emissões de CO2. Caminhamos para a transição da matriz elétrica e fomos a 1ª operadora a ter um site de telecomunicações do país com energia fotovoltaica conectada à rede elétrica. Hoje, temos 3 usinas fotovoltaicas próprias, UFV Bela Vista, em Bela Vista de Goiás e Capim Branco I e II, em Uberlândia. Fazemos a compra de fontes renováveis por meio do mercado livre de energia e realizamos a aquisição de certificados de energia renovável (I-REC). Em 2022 seguimos com 100% de consumo de energia proveniente de fontes renováveis. Na gestão da frota, promovemos a substituição de energia fóssil por energia renovável, sendo que a maior parte dos veículos são de duo fio, com prioridade para o uso de etanol, que responde por mais 90% do consumo. Buscamos ser influência sustentável por meio de uma comunicação e conscientização da nossa rede de relacionamento e somos reconhecidos no mercado por nossas soluções inovadoras. Criamos em 2013 o Comitê de Engajamento Socioambiental que está em todas unidades da companhia promovendo e reconhecendo funcionários que trabalham na operação, nos escritórios e nas áreas comerciais para a adoção de práticas sustentáveis. Criamos também um comitê com os franqueados na área original de atuação e vamos chegar às áreas de expansão. O reconhecimento das Franquias Mais Sustentáveis 2022 influencia franqueados na adoção de práticas sustentáveis em todas as localidades que atuamos, contribuindo para a perenidade da cultura de sustentabilidade na empresa e na sociedade. Em 2022, nos mantivemos entre as empresas mais inovadoras do País e referência para o mercado com o cases como o da assistente virtual Cora que automatiza soluções e comunica demandas ao Centro de Operações de Rede. O bot permite atuação mais analítica, preventiva e agiliza a resolução de falhas operacionais com reflexos no atendimento e na experiência do cliente. Por inteligência artificial o bot expande habilidades e segue em aprendizado contínuo. Ela consulta falhas massivas, reduz esforço operacional, gera tratativas mais ágeis com o usuário final, escalona chamados e garante informações para líderes na resolução de demandas complexas. O Grupo Algar possui estrutura de Auditoria Interna, com a responsabilidade de monitorar, avaliar e realizar recomendações, visando aperfeiçoar os controles internos, as normas e procedimentos estabelecidos pela administração.
