Xamk has continued to encourage students and staff to take part in activities that reduce emissions, save nature and foster sustainable development. These activities include promotion of cycling and reducing travelling by car and instead of face-to-face meetings arranging virtual meetings, sorting of waste, saving energy, etc. Monitoring and reporting of above-mentioned activities. Participating in developing HEIs emission definitions and calculations. Committing to common carbon neutral targets of Finnish HEIs. Xamk has introduced employer subsidized bicycles. Xamk decided to hire a full time responsibility coordinator in 2022.Anti-corruption

Guidance has been provided for those employees preparing for procurement and making decisions. Guidelines provide information on how to recognize situations, where employees need to disqualify themselves from the process. The instructions are available to all staff. The Finnish Anti-corruption.fi material is used as reference for the guidelines. Next, further training will be provided for all staff. In addition to the issue of disqualification, we also focus on identifying corruption in our own operating environment and with practical examples guide staff to act properly in different situations.
