MilDef commits to respect human rights, which means to avoid infringing on the human rights of others and to address these impacts where they occur, as set out in the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights MilDef commits to respect any internationally recognized human rights standards – understood, at a minimum, as the International Bill of Rights and the ILO’s Declaration on the Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work Policy awareness training sessions has been developed and deployed for all Corporate Policies and distributed to all employees during first quarter of 2022. The overall ambition within environmental responsibility is to protect the environment by actively reducing MilDef's and customers' environmental impact and reducing resource utilization – on both activities conducted in-house and by MilDef's suppliers. MilDef is committed to protecting the environment, preventing pollution, and complying with legal and other requirements. We have set a new overall goal of contributing to a democratic, equal, and sustainable world. At MilDef, we strive to reduce our environmental impact and we work purposefully, for example, to reduce our carbon footprint from business-related travel, real estate, production and to encourage the use of sustainable modes of transport throughout our organization. We will work more actively with our risk profile and global footprint by, among other things, reviewing the ESG report from Sustainalytic and actively reinforcing potential development areas as well as our sustainability reporting. The overall ambition to create long-term business sustainability is to striving for stable and profitable progress over time and by applying good business practice. MilDef values ethics and morals highly and at all levels of the business, all employees should treat each other with the utmost respect. Customers and other stakeholders shall be met with the same values and pledges and agreements shall be honored. MilDef has adopted a code of conduct which describes MilDef's values, leadership philosophy, social responsibility, work environment factors and other dimensions. In addition, MilDef's attitude to ethics and morals, business acumen, zero tolerance for corruption and bribery, and more is clarified. This Code of Conduct has additional support and details regarding anti-corruption and fair-trading conditions in specific policies and other policy documents. We have implemented an Ethics Council to make MilDef's ESG agenda visible and monitor in various contexts. MilDef also has an externally provided whistleblowing service which can be used to draw attention to serious cases of irregularities anonymously.
