Optional commentSumitomo Chemical has implemented the Sumitomo Chemical Group Human Rights Policy in line with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and is committed to respecting human rights of all kinds. We recognize human rights challenges in the four categories identified in the ILO core labour standards (freedom of association and right to collective bargaining, abolition of child labour, elimination of all forms of forced or compulsory labour, and elimination of discrimination) to be of importance. As manufacturers, we adopt the policy of “making safety our first priority” and thus recognize occupational safety and health as material human rights issues.Response

The total consumption is calculated by deducting total discharge from the previously mentioned total withdrawal (actual data for the fiscal year 2020 for Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd. and all the Group companies in Japan).13.
