At Bewsys, it was critical to determine how we can improve the lives of our employees affected by the pandemic, including their economic status because the mean age of our workers is 29 years. Due to their economic status before joining the workforce, most have an average of 3 dependents. Even though 100% of employees across the organization were earning beyond living wage, we felt there was still room to be more ambitious on the economic and welfare benefits, programs, and wages available. Some initiatives we have undertaken so far include: 1. An overhaul of HR compensation systems with the help of an external consultant to enable us to transition from static wage reviews to the periodical, dynamic wage setters for the entire workforce. 2. We updated our performance-based compensation process to include quarterly bonuses based on a transparent and clearly identified performance appraisal process and tool. 3. We undertook one-on-one sensitization and training with all employees on the updated HR Compensation system, implications on their new wages, and recommendations on how to undertake responsible personal financial planning and management. The feedback from our employees has been phenomenal in our quarterly anonymous employee satisfaction survey, In the 3rd Quarter: 95.7% indicated that Considering your experience based on salary and compensation, would you be willing to recommend your friends and family to work with us, they would be willing to recommend Bewsys to their family and friends Compared to the 2nd Quarter where only 77.8% indicated that they would be willing to recommend Bewsys to their family and friends considering their experience with the company based on salary and compensation.Environment
