In 2008, JEP received its first ISO 14001 certification, which has been renewed every year thereafter. In 2017 and then again in 2021, the renewal of the certification was done on the 2015 version of the reference system which puts forward a risk-based approach. An analysis of all the risks represented by the company's activity has therefore been launched in order to be able to put in place preventive actions to reduce the probability of the risk appearing, but also corrective actions to reduce the seriousness of the consequences of this risk. Signing of the “Objectif CO2” Charter : The main impact of JEP on the environment is the emission of greenhouse gases. In order to limit these emissions, JEP is a signatory of the “Objectif CO2” Charter. As part of this approach, JEP has chosen 5 actions aimed at reducing CO2 emissions by 25% at the end of a three-year cycle. These actions involve training in eco-driving for drivers as well as better monitoring of rolling stock maintenance or optimization of delivery rounds. In 2022, JEP completed a three-year cycle which has reduced the overall rate of CO2 emissions, which now stands at 43 gCO2/kg transported. In 2018, the fleet became more environmentally friendly thanks to the acquisition of vehicles running on CNG. This transition continued with new acquisitions and the "clean" fleet now represents 25% of the total JEP fleet. As a continuation of this project, JEP has also decided to have two CNG distribution stations built at its two main sites to supply the new fleet. In October 2021, JEP decided to switch to BioCNG, which reduced the greenhouse gas emissions of these vehicles by more than 80%. JEP now plans to convert its diesel fleet to biodiesel and also invest in the acquisition of electric vehicles. A clean fleet target of 80% has been set for 2025. At the logistics and administrative sites, gas, electricity and water consumption is carefully monitored every month. A target of reducing consumption by 3% per year has been set and achieved in 2021. In order to reduce electricity consumption, all light fixtures are gradually being replaced by LED lighting. Employees are also made aware of energy savings in terms of heating and air conditioning management. As water consumption is monitored, leaks are quickly detected and repaired to avoid any waste. For the sake of ecology, JEP signed a contract in 2020 with an energy supplier guaranteeing full compensation for all its gas and electricity consumption. Waste management Because of its activity, JEP is a producer of wood waste as well as cardboard and plastic. This waste is sorted, which allows the wood to be thermally recovered and the cardboard and plastic to be recycled. The sorting rules are regularly reminded to employees who are also encouraged to avoid unnecessary printing of documents. In addition, ink and toner cartridges, in addition to D3E, are also recycled. As part of its moving business, JEP offers furniture recycling to customers who wish to separate from their old furniture through partners such as Valdelia.Anti-corruption
