Optional commentIn the Asahi Group Holdings water risk survey scheme, the WRI AQUEDUCT is used to identify geographically high water stress areas. Asahi Group Holdings defines areas that appear as "Extremely high risk" on the WRI AQUEDUCT as areas of high water stress. Based on this definition, the Roma and Bari plants of Birra Peroni S.r.l. in Italy are located in areas of high water stress among all Asahi Group sites. The water intake rate of these plants is 3.4%. The Asahi Group has formulated the Asahi Group Environmental Vision 2050 as a specific goal for achieving a sustainable society and is promoting various initiatives. As a recent development, in January 2022, the Group upwardly revised the target values in Scope 1 and 2 for 2030 under the medium- and long-term climate change target, Asahi Carbon Zero, from a 50% reduction (compared to 2019) to a 70% reduction (compared to 2019). Moreover, with regard to containers and packaging, new targets have been set for the conversion of PET bottles to eco-friendly materials.
