PARCO respects all human beings and considers employees as its greatest asset, striving to support employees, their families, nearby communities and other stakeholders in accordance with Human Rights. PARCO makes all possible efforts to avoid complicity in Human Rights Abuses and abides by the laws of Pakistan. PARCO continues to provide a healthy and green working environment to its employees. PARCO provides equal career growth opportunity to both male and female employees, some of whom are at key positions in the Company. The company has females working in Engineering, Finance, Projects, IT, Telecom, Marketing, HR, and Medical functions. PARCO’s target is zero discrimination in a male dominated society and industry. PARCO has a committee to deal with harassment complaints take suggestions and give recommendations to the Management. Employees, including heads of departments, are advised to report any acts of harassment, as harassment is considered misconduct, liable to disciplinary action. No case of harassment against women has been registered since the inception of the Company.Labour

PARCO believes in addressing Employee issues practically and providing the right of collective bargaining to all its workers by complete compliance to all Industrial Relations Ordinances and Laws. PARCO has a history of good management – employee relations. There has never been a labor strike since PARCO`s inception, and all CBA agreements have been negotiated in a friendly atmosphere. Free and fair elections of CBA are held every two years. PARCO completely disallows any form of forced or compulsory labour in all its functions. PARCO`s employment contracts do not violate human rights or labor laws. PARCO does not follow the practice of service bonds. No child labor has ever been employed by PARCO. Despite the fact that under the labor laws of Pakistan, the minimum age of hiring is 14 years, PARCO`s minimum age limit for induction is 18 years, which is thoroughly checked by birth certificates, educational testimonials, national identity card by NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) and other age verification documents, thus ensuring that there is no child labor across the company. All employees, along with their families and the support staff have been vaccinated against COVID-19. The Company made this possible by organizing vaccination drives company-wide at all locations. PARCO takes climate action in its operation, products and services portfolio, innovations and R&D activities and working environment. PARCO’s robust environmental management system ensures that no adverse impact is caused on the local community by any aspect of PARCO’s operations. In order to ensure compliance, PARCO is implementing a local community environmental monitoring which includes ambient air, ground water and noise surveys in the peripheral surroundings and local community. Through this local community environmental management plan, PARCO can ensure that no pollution of soil and water has occurred as a result of PARCO operations. Refining operations generate effluent wastes and being a responsible organization PARCO has a state of the art Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP). A proper SOP is in place for waste disposal. An online waste disposal procedure has been introduced in MCR with more influence regarding the proper maintenance of data with respect to segregation of waste and it also helps to prompt the paper less environment. Energy Management System (EMS) has been implemented on all new units. Monitoring of significant energy use is done through Energy Performance Indicators (EPIs) and are monitored on daily basis. Observed or predicted direct and indirect impacts on biodiversity and ecosystem are described and analyzed through environmental impact assessments. No property on the World Heritage List has been impacted due to our operations. PARCO monitoring and planning to reroute pipelines to save environment from impacts.Anti-corruption
