We carried out a detailed lifecycle analysis of our electronic shelf labels (ESL) to understand where the largest environmental impacts were in our production and logistics model, and to determine the overall carbon impact of each ESL. We are also concluding the process of measuring the carbon footprint of our own operations and outlining specific measures for reducing our carbon emissions. And we carried out essential work on our circular economy action plan to ensure the complete recyclability and reuse of our labels. This has led us to the recent launch of Vusion-e, SES-imagotag’s IoT sustainability program to decarbonize the entire product life cycle from high quality and duration eco-design of hardware, optimized energy consumption, disposable batteries elimination, sustainable packaging and supply chain, repairability, remanufacturing, to end-of-life management.
