    Arafura has been developing a carbon emissions intensity curve to achieve NZ2050 (at the latest) to transition the planned mining and processing plant from gas to renewables including solar, wind and BESS. Work is also being undertaken to assess the potential and timing for hydrogen, CSP and vanadium flow cell batteries.

    Arafura has been writing the Mining Management Plan for its final mining authorisation, which details the extensive management activities that will be required for site construction and operations including - biodiversity, weeds, air quality hazardous materials, erosion, cultural heritage, social impacts, emergency response, noise and vibrations, waste rock, surface and groundwater. This information is required to instill the regulators that Arafura understands the environment that it is operating in and how to manage all potential environmental impacts.
