4.1. For each environmental topic in which the company sets timebound goals / targets, what kind of targets has the company set?

Description of targets (e.g., what is the target, absolute vs. intensity, externally verified, on track, etc.)

    Climate Action

We strive to reduce our customers total carbon footprint. For example, by reducing sludge moisture from (79% to 61%) and increasing container utilization we are able to reduce transportation impacts by over 60%.

    Energy & Resource Use

Energy Use Given our system impacts early on, in the ‘primary treatment phase’ of the WWTPs, we are able to reduce dramatically the total energy consumed net that we require to operate our systems. Here the target in +25% and might reach +50% for direct system wide operations. Resource Use Given we use no chemicals, heavy metals, or other flocculant materials, the sludge produced is pure and can used for a number of revenue generating activities. For example, its bio-gas potential is 5X that would other wise be but can also be use as fertilizer or phosphorus.

    Water

Our approach is to enable our customers towards ‘Zero Discharge’ through our innovative wastewater filtration technology. Currently we can document +94% SS removal and monitoring on a daily process.

Forests / Biodiversity / Land Use

    Air Pollution

We are investigating this outcome in terms of the immense amount of oxygen / ozone used within the bioreactors and flocculation system. Our system reduces (if not eliminates) the need for these systems and as a result, the air pollution, and treatment of those emissions are reduced significantly.

Waste (e.g., chemical spills, solid waste, hazardous, plastic, etc.)

Our current project benchmark produces 2,500 Tons of wastewater sludge. Our performance and projections thereon show we will be able to reduce that to 1,400 tons and change its classification from hazardous waste/sludge (given the plant uses chemicals and flocculants) into now a renewable and valuable resource.
