    With reference to CO2 emissions, Pirelli planned by 2025 that 100% of renewable electrical energy purchased at Group level should be renewable, as well as a 42% reduction in absolute CO2 emissions compared to 2015 (upgraded target approved in 2022 by the Science Based Target initiative as in line with the 1,5°C scenario); by 2030 it is planned to achieve Carbon Neutrality (considering emissions from electrical and thermal energy). In 2022, Pirelli also committed to the SBTi Net-Zero Standard to develop within the next 2 years an emissions reduction target to achieve net zero emissions no later than 2050.
