Optional commentPTTEP respects human rights wherever it operates, as guided by its corporate good governance principles, business ethics, CSR framework and sustainability philosophy and based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and the International Labor Organization's (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. Most importantly, PTTEP participated in the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) in 2011 and is required to report on the implementation of human rights measures and impacts on stakeholders. To ensure economic and social values of business operations, UNGC highlights the need for businesses to integrate 10 principles into their operations. PTTEP's Communication on Progress (CoP) on the implementation of 10 principles has been in UNGC Advanced Level since 2015, mainly falling into 4 categories of human rights (Principles 1-2), labor (Principles 3-6), environment and anti-corruption (Principles 7-10) and the details are published on UNGC website. For Zawtika project (total amount of land is approximately 1,230,786 Hectares). Only a section of the natural gas pipeline (approximately 32 km) and gas metering station have been laid within the area of Tanintharyi Nature Reserve. By using Arc GIS and the Right of Way (ROW), being 20 m in width, of the project, we have been able to calculate the total area of the gas pipeline and gas metering station constructed within the Tanintharyi Nature Reserve. The projection of area of the pipeline and metering station within the Tanintharyi Nature Reserve is approximately 77 ha. In conclusion, the total amount of land contain or are adjacent to globally or nationally important biodiversity is 23,277 Hectares. PTTEP has developed biodiversity management plans for those two sites i.e. Sinphuhorm Project and Zawtika Project. Therefore, 2 biodiversity management plans covers 23,277 Hectares. There is no incident reported in regards to corruption issues in the reporting period. However, PTTEP has Corporate Governance and Sustainable Development Committee to monitor implementation concerning anti-corruption measures. There are three lines of defense in which PTTEP implement the anti-corruption measures. The committee assesses and reviews the outcome annually. There are also designated internal audit division to perform audit and evaluation against corruption issues. There are whistleblowing platform in place and the protection procedures for the whistleblower. However, reporting misconducts or suspected violations of the law or Good Corporate Governance and Business Ethics of PTTEP Group (CG&BE) is crucially important in protecting us from reputational damages or other potential consequences. To ensure we are aware of and respond to all such suspected violations in a timely manner, the Corporate Secretary Division manages the CG Hotline channels to receive reports or complaints regarding possible violation of laws, CG&BE and any other regulation of the PTTEP Group via the PTTEP website, PTTEP Intranet, e-mail, letter. Reports received via the CG Hotline channels will be passed to authorized persons within the PTTEP Group, which will ensure reports are dealt with in a strictly confidential and professional manner. You will be asked to provide your identity to allow your concern to be handled most effectively; however, anonymous reports will also be accepted.
