Optional commentTINTEX has several committees that gather regularly ,to adress sustainability topics and implement actions to improve our sustainability performance. In the "Safety Committee", the officers of several departments and the CEO gather to discuss and implement actions regarding the topic "Decent work and health and safety at work"; In the "Actions Plans Management Committee", the sustainability team and a member of the highest level of the organization gather to discuss topics regarding "Environment, quality and risks management"; finally, in the "Human Relations Committee", the head of human relations and the CEO gather to discuss topics related to "Human rights, Labour rights, Anti-Corruption and work conditions".Prevention

During 2021, TINTEX drafted a harassment code which is intended to be disseminated in 2022. TINTEX also extended the availability of external and confidential means of contact for complaints or concerns regarding social topics. Overall Environment

Regarding CO2 emissions, Tintex is commited with the most ambitious target of the Paris Agreement to reduce absolute scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions 50% by 2030 from a 2018 base year, and to measure and reduce its scope 3 emissions. In 2022 Tintex plans to adapt one of its boilers, switching its fuel from natural gas to biomass, implement steam energy recovery for air heating in the stenters and dryers and implement an energy management system, resulting in an estimate of reduction of 60% of Tintex CO2 emissions of scope 1 and 2. The major challenge that Tintex is facing regarding this topic is mapping its scope 3 emissions to start measuring them and planning the areas Tintex can influence in the estimative of reduction. With respect to the company's waste management, during 2021 the activated sludge from Tintex's wastewater treatment plant was diverted from landfill to composting, translating in the recovery of 97,4% of Tintex's waste.Anti-corruption

During 2021 Tintex reviewed its supplier manual in order to engage all the direct suppliers with this topic, ensuring that the anti-corruption principle are assured in their facilities. During 2022 Tintex plans to share this manual with the suppliers and ask for their commitment. Tintex is also planning to integrate in the company's goals the Charter of Principles of the BCSD Portugal goals regarding this topic.
