    Para el año 2021 no incluye la cuantificación de las emisiones significativas al aire. Sin embargo, es preciso informar que las fuentes estacionarias tales como calderas sirven de back up, en este sentido su funcionamiento no es continuo. En cuanto a los generadores eléctricos, la capacidad de los mismos es inferior a 1MW por lo que no requiere que se ejecuten monitoreos isocineticos. No obstante, se iniciará la cuantificación de las emisiones al aire a partir de factores de emisión recomendados en el AP 42 de la EPA.

    Hocol cuenta una estrategia de desarrollo sostenible enfocada en la protección de la riqueza natural, la participación en el desarrollo social de los territorios, la gestión del entorno y el trabajo en operaciones sostenibles y la cual es la base para el direccionamiento ambiental de la compañía, con objetivos y metas específicas en aspectos como biodiversidad, reforestación, manejo del agua, cambio climático y economía circular. Aunado a lo anterior, en 2021 se estructuró un Sistema de Gestión para Carbono Neutralidad para alcanzar las metas de corto, mediano y largo plazo. Este sistema incorporó todos los elementos necesarios tomando como referencia los procesos, estrategias, planes, metas de HOCOL y del Grupo Empresarial Ecopetrol. Dentro de las metas establecidas por la compañía está lograr Cero quemas rutinarias a 2030 y a largo plazo la reducción de las emisiones en un 25% respecto a la línea base. Así mismo, se continúa con el apoyo a la protección de especies sensibles representativas en las áreas de operación de la compañía y la reforestación. En el tema de Residuos la meta corresponde a Cero (0) vertimientos terrestres.
